Art of Building

In 2016, I was selected as Clark Construction’s first Photographer-in-Residence. Throughout my residency, I captured the “Art of Building,” focusing on the social dimensions of construction, or the roles and relationships that can be found on every job site. Over the next year, I traveled across the country and visited nearly 100 projects. By focusing my camera on moments of concentration and collaboration, I drew greater attention to the people behind the process.

At the conclusion of my residency, I curated and designed an exhibition, around the body of work, at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.
